Description

A band of extraordinary warriors walk in the shadows of the human world with capabilities derived from the senses: Trackers, Sounders, Healers, Tasters, Visionaries and the rare Reflectors. Collectively, they are known as the ‘Senses’. Danielle Thomas is a free-spirited artist living in downtown Toronto. She changes men like underwear, drives her Mini Cooper like it’s meant to be driven, and has no qualms about telling it like it is. That is, until a man from her painting knocks on her door and leaves her speechless. The problem? He is from her nocturnal consciousness. Her dreams are real and her past isn’t what she thought. For centuries, Balen, a Tracker, has fought alongside the Senses with fierce loyalty and determination. His code of honor is respected without question. That is, until Balen broke that code by consuming the blood of an enemy. Now he must stand trial knowing that the judgment will be harsh. But an ancient spell has been set in motion and Balen must escape before they sentence him, or Danielle’s fate will mirror his own. Amongst divided loyalties, concealed secrets and deadly enemies, Danielle and Balen must forge an alliance. A journey of tenacious desire that refuses to fade even though that is what will destroy them. Because—in order for Danielle to live, first she must die.

I read the first book in the Sense’s Series – JUMP – by Cindy Paterson and really enjoyed it. The one thing that bothered me more as I read was the punctuation mistakes and the use of wrong words. Overlooking the editing errors, I loved this book and will be looking for her next book.
